Hello All, We will be meeting at the parking lot at camp Yocona at 8:00 am on Saturday April 13th, 2024. This will give us enough time to get their gear to the campsite and to shooting sports for registration. We will be staying at Boyce campsite on Camp. Scouts will need to be fed breakfast before they get there. All the scouts need this weekend is a sleeping bag, clothes (weather appropriate), sunscreen, a hat with a bill on it, and a great attitude. Scouts sleeping in the cabins will not get nights under the stars counted as camping nights for them, if they want they can bring their own tent or hammock and sleep there and then they will have nights counted towards their camping. Lunch Saturday will be hamburgers, chips and drinks. We will have pizza Saturday night and a cold breakfast Sunday Morning. Pick up will be around 1 pm Sunday as we will need to get everyone through the shotgun qualification for the merit badge.
If your scout needs a ride out to camp, reply to this email and we will arrange the ride. Mr. Paul has graciously offered his Van and driving services.

Just a friendly reminder Tonight at 6 Mr. Nathan is starting the Environmental Science MB (eagle required). Our Regular Meeting starts at 645, and the PLC starts at 6:30. PLC is Patrol Leaders, Scribe, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader and Quartermaster. Uniform is Class A as this is our first meeting of the month.

Good Afternoon Parents and Leaders,

I am pleased to share that we will be starting the Environmental Science Merit badge on Monday, April 8th at 6pm. This is an Eagle Required Merit badge, so if your Scout hasn’t taken it yet, we would definitely suggest that they sign up for the badge.

In order to complete the badge, we will meet before the normal Monday meetings at 6pm downstairs in the Scout Area for 3 sessions. The first will be as mentioned above, Monday, April 8th, the 2nd will be Monday, April 15th, and the third will be Monday April 22.

Our goal is to make this a fun experience where the Scouts get a chance to experience what it’s like to be an environmental scientist as they make observations and carry out experiments to complete the activities and projects required for the badge. You can see the details for the badge on the attached PDF booklet. If your Scout signs up, please have them begin reading the attached pamphlet in advance of the first meeting.

Please let us know if your Scout would like to sign up and we will register them for the course.

We are meeting from 6:45 PM to 8:00 PM tomorrow night. Uniform is class B. PLC is at 6:30.

Meeting at camp Yocona parking lot between 5:30 and 6. Scouts need to bring their class A uniforms but not wear them tonight. Scouts also need to have dinner before they come as we only do a snack (Cracker Barrel not the restaurant) on Fridays

We will be camping this weekend at Camp Yocona. We will meet between 5:30 and 6pm in the parking lot. Pick up will be at 11 am Sunday morning. Class As are needed but do not have to be worn Friday night. Scouts will need to eat before they come Friday night. Coat is 25$ you can pay Venmo or tonight at the meeting at 6:45.
