Hey everyone, Just a few things going on this week. For Lafayette School scouts, there is the Pink out tomorrow night. See earlier email. Friday Saturday and Sunday is the Shiloh campout. Monday, we normally don’t have a meeting after a campout, however, we will be having an Eagle Court of Honor for Jackson Stone. This will be from 6:30 to 7:30.

Hello All, We are meeting Monday at the VFW in Oxford from 6:45 to 8. Class B will be the uniform of the day. Don’t forget to sign up for the Shiloh campout next weekend. It’s going to be fun.

Parents,
The troop has a campout planned for the weekend of November 1-3. Cost for the Campout will be $20. We will be going exploring the Shiloh National Military Park in TN by way of a 10 mile orienteering course. It will be a great opportunity to learn about the History of the park and our country, as well as satisfy some advancement requirements for some scouts. We are really looking forward to it.
We really need to nail down the headcount on Monday. Please make sure to come to the meeting on Monday with the campout fee.
Please make sure that your Scouts pack appropriately.
In addition to the normal gear the boys pack on a campout, they will need to bring the following – A Day pack with: o Water bottle o Ten Essentials – please reference your scout book o Compass if they have one o Notebook and pen o Sunscreen o Bug spray o Hat o Camera if desired, o Any additional snacks desired
Scouts will be able to use their phones for pictures only during the hike. Otherwise, they will be secured with the leaders.
We are camping in an area that most likely will not have spaces for hammock camping so be prepared to Camp in a tent.
We plan to roll out from the church Friday, Nov 1 @ 6:15pm. It is a 2 hour drive so please make sure Scouts are at the church no later than 6pm. Please make sure your Scout is fed before arriving. We will be traveling in Leader Vehicles. Please Make sure your scouts wear their Class A’s
Pick up from the church will be at 1pm on Sunday Nov 3 unless otherwise notified.

Central Elementary drop-off starts at 7AM. Volunteers should report to the front in Class As at 6:50AM. Principal requests coverage of the bus drop-off at the back of the school also, so we increased the number of volunteers and adults. (*2 deep leadership needed each side!*)
NOTE: Central Elementary evening needs a couple more volunteers than usual to help with applications.

Hello all, This weekend we have a couple things going on. Friday is a popcorn sale from 4pm-630pm at Kroger. Saturday we have popcorn sale at Kroger from 9am-12pm. If you have not come out and sold popcorn yet pick one of these dates and come out for a shift. If we don’t sell the popcorn out this weekend we will have another event to sell the popcorn. Also on Saturday we have game parking. This is for the group going to northern tier. We have one more parking event left so those going will need to pick this one or the Georgia game. For either popcorn and northern tier parking there are sign ups below for times. Please be sure to sign up for a time. We do not know the time of the Georgia game so we won’t have a sign up for it until we get times announced.

Hello All, Last night during our Leader Meeting we discovered that scoutbook has scouts advancement things that have been removed due to Scoutbook error. We looked at several scouts who we know had things marked off as completed and leader approved, which were removed by scoutbook. We are working to fix this and get everything that was in before back in. For this reason, the boys handbooks are extremely important. Scoutbook online has done this at least twice since last May, and the physical handbooks are the only things that keep us from having to make the scouts do the requirements over. So please press upon your scout to always have their handbook and bring it to the meetings and campouts.
