BSA Troop 45 – Oxford, MS
What to wear and bring:
– Swimsuit and Swim shirts if available. – – Scouts will be getting wet as they may tip boats over for practice or be splashed during the sailing event. – Sunblock/Hats/Sunglasses – – They will be in the Sun for most of the day so definitely pack a hat, glasses and sunblock – Closed Toed shoes- – – Captain Jim has requested that no Flip Flops be worn but rather closed toed shoes that can get wet. – From Captain Jim- “Keens are great, but we allow Choco sandals” – Rain Jacket for early part of the day – – There is a chance of rain until ~9am so the first ~2 hours there may be some rain. – Water Bottle full of water – Towel/Dry T-Shirt for afterwards – Most importantly- bring a sense of adventure and excitement to learn a new skill!
Thanks to everyone for supporting your Scouts in attending this exciting Fall Semester kickoff event!
Best Regards,
*Nathan Crouch and Troop 45 Leaders*
