Hello all, Here are the final details for the ski trip this weekend.
On Saturday, we will leave from First Presbyterian Church at 7am. Please get to the Church by 6:50am. We are going to stop for lunch at Lambert’s Cafe in Sikeston, Missouri. We will then continue on to Hidden Valley Ski Resort, arriving around 2pm. We will get our rental gear and ski from 3-10pm and have dinner at the resort. We will then go to the Super 8 by Wyndham in Eureka which is about 15 minutes from the ski resort. On Sunday we will have breakfast at the hotel and then drive to downtown St. Louis. We have tickets for the Top of the Arch at 10am, and can spend time at the museum. At around 11:30 we will start driving back to Oxford. We will get lunch on the way and be back at First Presbyterian Church at around 6:30. We will email everyone when we have a better estimate of the time.
The weather is expected to be in the mid 40s for a high and low 30s for a low, with a chance of rain showers on Saturday. Please pack warm clothes, wool socks, gloves, and a hat. If you have snow pants, or rain pants, that would be good. Don’t wear jeans, sweatpants, or cotton materials when skiing if possible.
If you haven’t filled out the waiver forms and given them to me, please have them filled out and bring them.
Thanks, Gary

Meeting

Parents, We would like to invite you to stay the first 15-30 min of the meeting tomorrow. Each of the Points of Contact for the upcoming activities (ski trip, summer camp, MB college, ETC.) will be there with information and be able to answer some of your questions. Also please don’t forget the physical forms
Thanks Ben Stepp Troop 45 Scoutmaster

Troop 45 family:
This year’s Merit Badge College is Saturday, March 2, on the Ole Miss campus. This is great opportunity for your Scout to earn one, two, or possibly three MB’s. Like last year we have a great lineup of MB’s. A number of Eagle Required MB’s will be offered. Note: similar to Summer Camp some MB’s cannot be quite completed at the MBC, but a goodly portion can be knocked out to get your Scout well on his way. Lunch will be provided at Rebel Market.
Please follow this link to find out more (by downloading the Leader’s Guide) and to register: www.natcheztracecouncil.org/chicksadistrictmbc
Troop 45 will be registering individually, rather than as a Troop. You’ll need an account with the Natchez Trace Council in order to register. The deadline to register is February 26, but I’ve already noticed a number of Troops and Scouts signing up. Some classes have size limits, so don’t miss out. There will not be day-of registration.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Remember this is OUR District’s Merit Badge College with several of our leaders and parents of our Scouts involved, so let’s get a goodly showing from Troop 45.
