Hello everyone, The OA campfire and call out for newly elected member is Sunday night at 9. We will be meeting at 820 in the parking lot at camp Yocona. We have three who were up for election and should be there, Jayden White, Andrew Colby, and Jackson McCraw. Everyone is welcome to come and find out along with them if they made it or not.

Hello all, The scouts are having a great time here in the mountains of TN. The weather has been in the mid to low 70s during the day and 50s at night. It has been awesome weather. The boys have been working hard at earning their MBs and making new friends from all over the US. There are troops here from Michigan, Ohio, and Florida to name a few. We have little to no cellular service here so we took up the phone so they aren’t tempted to play on them in their free time. If you need to check on your son, text me and I’ll respond when I get to the scoutmaster internet area. The staff have the night off tonight so we will be cooking hobo packs for dinner and building a picnic table as a service project. Everyone is doing well.

Good morning everyone, We made it safe to skymont and are settled in. We had a long day but a good day yesterday. We stopped at Buc-ee’s for lunch and all had a good time. Check in was a long process but we got through it. The campfire was great. The boys start their first day of merit badges today.

Hello all. It’s 1106 am. The aquatics instructor needs to go. Anyone who has not completed their swim check can take it at camp

The plan for tomorrow is still to do swim checks. We will swim even in the rain. The only thing that will stop the swim checks is lightning. This is for all the scouts and leaders going to summer camp either at Skymont or Yocona.

Hello everyone, I hope this email finds you well. Attached you will find a packing list of things to bring to summer camp. While this list is not exhaustive, it is the minimum of necessary things to bring.
Also a few things to consider, Scouts may not wear open toed shoes or sandals, or crocs on camp except in the showers, so they will need sneakers or hiking boots or both. Skymont does not allow bikes, so we will not be bringing bikes with us. For any scout taking shooting sports, or ATV you will need to have the appropriate waiver signed and turned in to us on the day of departure. Also anyone taking the ATV adventure must complete the online course and print the certificate and bring it with them.
