Rowan Oak Doggy Stations

This project is to slowly add and service doggy bag stations throughout Rowan Oak and along the Bailey Wood trail to make the area more sanitary and dog friendly by encouraging people to pick u after their pets while enjoying Rowan Oak and the Bailey Woods Trail.

The Project requires planning.
Approval of the Rowan Oak board.
Approval by the UM Museum board.
Fundraising for the initial Dog Stations.
Purchase of the initial Dog Station(s) and supplies.

Purchase shoulder bag for ongoing servicing.
Assembly of initial Dog Station(s).
Installation of initial Dog Station(s).

Transportation of assembled stations
Digging hole at location & installing station with Leveling boards
Mixing concrete and filling hole


Ongoing service hours – Monday & Friday every week. Take shoulder bag with replacement bags, keys & contractor bag. Check stock of pull out bags and replenish as necessary. Tie & Remove waste bag and put it in contractor bag. Replace waste bag with new empty bag. Dispose of contractor bag when route is complete. 1 service hour per completed trip.
