Hello all, I hope everyone is safe in this disaster. I know it has been a long trying week, and if yall need something that we can help with please reach out and we will we see what we can come up with to help. We would also like to see how many are still interested in going on the ski trip. We will need to know by Monday morning at 10am so we can make arrangements if we have enough interest. I know many have already said yes or no but if you would go ahead and reply to this email that would be tremendously helpful. Thank you Ben Stepp

Ladies and Gentlemen, We are continuing to monitor the weather and will make a decision for Mondays meeting as the weekend progresses. I can tell you this now, if either one of the schools cancels Monday we will not have our meeting. Thanks Benjamin Stepp Scoutmaster

FPC has officially cancelled its in-person worship service for this Sunday, January 25. The Church would still like for Scout Sunday happen this year and has asked us to postpone it until next Sunday, February 1. We hope all Scouts can accommodate the schedule change. Scout Sunday is a meaningful way for our Troop to give back to our Chartering Organization. Let’s get through the storm and then have a BIG turnout!!

Here’s the scoop…

*What:* Scout Sunday is celebrated annually near the anniversary of the founding of Boy Scouts in the US.
*When:*
*January 25, 2026*
*Drop-off at 9:00am*
*Pick-up at 12:30pm* (as soon as we can clean up and shut down)
*Where:* First Presbyterian Church; Scouts report to the basement Scoutroom
*Who:* Troop 45!!
*Why: *First Presbyterian Church holds Troop 45’s charter. In order for a Troop to exist it must partner with a civic organization to be its sponsor. Without FPC’s partnership, T45 would not be here! In addition, FPC offers us room to hold mtgs and store stuff. Occasionally, we get to use the Church van. So on Scout Sunday we want to say THANKS!
*Weather:* We’ll be watching that and communicate if there are changes

*Other important info:*
– The Troop will be attending the 10:00am worship service and afterward serving the congregation chili and fixin’s in the Fellowship Hall. – Scouts should be at the church at 9:00am (Scoutroom basement). We’ll assemble outside of the sanctuary at 9:45am to process in and sit all together in a reserved seating area. – Scouts will be cut loose as soon as we clean up after the lunch ~12:30pm or a little after. – Scouts should wear FULL class A’s: kaki shirt, green pants, belt, kerchief and slide. – Scouts will receive 2 service hours credit. – Scouts will receive a BSA Scout Sunday patch!
We’ll be making duty assignments (some Scouts may be asked to come earlier than 9:00am).

We know it is asking a lot to interrupt normal Sunday routines, but we feel this is important way to thank our Chartering Organization. Plus, “a Scout is Courteous” and “a Scout is Reverent.”
We’d love to have a Scout’s family join the worship service and the lunch afterwards.

Hello everyone, We will be doing physicals on February 16th, 2026 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Church. We will have three or four physicians present so it should go pretty quickly.
A few things to note about that day, It will not be a meeting, it will be to come get your physical done and go home. The attached form must be completed before the psychicans will see the scout. We will also need their shot records and a copy of their insurance card with the completed forms. You can obtain their shot records from their pediatrician.

Hello everyone, Attached is the tentative spring calendar. The march and May campouts are TBD.

Hello everyone, Just an FYI, we will be meeting at the VFW in Oxford on Monday the 26th. We will be outside and the weather is going to be cold so please remind the scouts to dress appropriately.
